InfrastructureStudents are taught the importance of outdoor exercise and are encouraged to play games of their choice. They imbibe the significance of being modest in victory and generous in defeat.Springfield has large open fields available for track and field events and games like Cricket, Football, Field hockey, Volley ball, Karate, Handball, Baseball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Gymnastics, hard courts for Basketball, Tennis Courts and Skating Rinks.
Trained NIS coaches supervise sports activities and train students. Spacious assembly ground provides for regular exercises, demonstrations. PT displays and drill is compulsory for all students.
Games at the Springfield are played with much for values and passion. There is emphasis on regular exercise and physical fitness. The spirit and desire to give the best possible performances are our watch.
FacilitiesThe School offers a large variety of co-curricular activities: Vocal classical music, Classical & Folk Dances, Debates, Quizzes, Dramatics, Art & Craft-Work, Pottery etc. This is of course , in addition to the huge array of sporting interests catered to, stretching across Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis , Karate and hockey , roller –skating etc. There is also a very strong life skills program in place that fosters qualities of leadership, team spirit, interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
The students are taught by experts in these fields and often attain a remarkably high standard. Students are encouraged to participate in inter-house, inter-class and inter-School competitions organized on regular intervals.
Students are often escorted to sports and cultural events. They are sent to represent the School in co-curricular fixtures hosted by other schools both in and out of Ambala at various National and International events.
Occasionally, professional dancers and vocalists, ceramic artists, painters, artisans, drama directors, photographers, coaches and Instructors are invited on a short-term basis to conduct workshops for the students
