About this school
Overview
The British School is an “international” school rooted in Indian “values”. It aims to provide education with global standards. This will not only make students studying in the school eligible for higher education in the institutions across the world but also give NRIs settled abroad an opportunity to send their children to such school to have a better idea of the social system back home. Many other such schools have already been functioning in the southern states of India and more school will be coming up in the near future.

Living Together... 

The senior students are encouraged to mentor the new and junior students. Any form of ragging is strongly discouraged and attracts heavy penalties. The school boasts of healthy conventions, where in the old students welcome the new batch of students with social evenings and ensure that they take on to the school life without much missing. Every student is assigned to a student mentor for the first few weeks so as to familiarize with the school infrastructure, practices and ethos. 

Mothering... 

The house mother takes care of all matters that usually the students real mother back would. From mending clothes, laundry, casual illness, morning activities to almost until the student goes to sleep. 

Tutor, Local Parent, Guide, Teacher & Friend... 

Each student is assigned to a house tutor, who acts as a local parent as well as the tutor. As a parent, the tutor along with the house mother aids, assists and guides the student in all non academic activities. As a tutor, he is responsible for the students’ achievement in academics, sports or activities or any other extra curricular activity. For almost anything the tutor is the first point of contact for the student.
